The AMD Game Engineering team works closely with external games software developers and publishers to create some of the best games on the planet. We help them to fully exploit the technical capabilities of AMD's hardware products.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a fantastic opportunity to get their foot in the door of both the games and tech industries.
  • Build and maintain critical web infrastructure that is used company-wide.
  • Design and implement new features to help optimize games.
  • Learn how to optimize game and application performance for discrete GPUs, APUs and CPUs.
  • Work with the external game development partners of AMD to enable them to produce their applications as efficiently as possible.


The ideal candidate is a recent graduate, who has knowledge of computer architecture, C and C++, and 3D mathematics. You're a team-player who is motivated to help others and learn new skills.

 

Minimum requirements:
• Has good C and/or C++ skills, knows about data structures and writing readable and maintainable code.
• Has some experience with DirectX12 or Vulkan programming and well as some experience writing shaders.
• Has good written and verbal communication skills.
• Is willing to travel domestically and internationally occasionally.

 

The following are optional but desired:
• Good understanding of relational database design theory and practise.
• Experience with C# and SQL.

 

Job location: AMD Munich (Germany) office, Cambridge (England) home office, London (England) home office. Other locations will be considered on a per-case basis.
