Sales Account Manager, Channel GPU - 71801


AMD is looking for a “Sales Account Manager, Channel GPU” within the EMEA channel sales team.  The channel component division of AMD is a fast moving, challenging and rewarding environment. We are currently looking to recruit a specialist to manager the GPU (graphics card) business with AMD EMEA, reporting directly to the channel/component regional Sales Director. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic company and a successful team, enjoying a role that is suited to an individual who has experience in the graphics card market. The role is to manage the GPU sales business within the channel (distribution, retail, system integration).  .Knowledge of the EMEA component market is beneficial, including experience with strategic marketing and PR initiatives to round out the entrepreneurial aspects of this position. There are countless opportunities for development, including learning from colleagues, mentors and external training companies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR FUNCTIONS [typically included, but not limited to the following]: 


  • Managing day to day contact with AMD internal sales teams on product strategy, pricing and roadmaps
  • Contact lead for all of the AMD add-in-board (AIB) partners to discuss EMEA/regional requirements and strategies 
  • Successfully target and win competition business using the tools available
  • Develop unique market winning strategies and tactical programs across all markets in EMEA
  • Forecasting and reporting of weekly sales numbers
  • Representative of EMEA to our internal headquarters to ensure product/pricing/positioning is correct to win
  • Driving focused, business-relevant engagement through AMDs Go-To-Market Teams
  • Development of strong AMD internal relationships, including key stakeholders such as GTM teams, pre- and post-sales, global teams and marketing



  • 5-8 years sales experience in IT
  • Proven success managing/working within the GPU/Graphics card market
  • Proven track record of partner management & selling into and through indirect or direct channels 
  • Executive level sales and account management skills
  • Willingness to travel – EMEA-wide, occasionally to NA/GC
  • Industry knowledge including hardware standards, operating systems, and key distribution channels 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • World-class presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Team player but independent thinker who can operate within a broad framework; entrepreneurial
