GPU Engineer - 117756

The Role:

The AMD Engine Performance team works closely with external game engine developers to ensure that the underlying technology driving some of the biggest game titles run at maximum performance with stunning visual quality on AMD hardware products. Our goal is to continuously raise the bar for unparalleled gaming graphics and performance.

In your role, you will be part of a highly collaborative team that optimizes rendering performance for the Unreal engine. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the cutting edge of GPU technologies

The Person:

We are looking for talented software engineers who:

  • Has passion in graphics and GPU performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to details while still being able to execute and deliver on time.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a remote team
  • Passionate about all aspects of good software engineering, ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical groups
  • Must be highly motivated with a strong desire to learn

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on next generation DX12/Vulkan APIs
  • Help drive AMD’s technical engagement with EPIC Games
  • Integrate support for next generation engine rendering features
  • Build Unreal Engine 5 optimization patches and plugins for use by developer community
  • Work with AMD architects to ensure accurate feature support in future hardware designs
  • Evangelize new UE5 rendering features (DX12, Nanite, Lumen, TSR) to developer community
  • Interact with customers and partners to build awareness of AMD’s current and next generation graphics technologies

 

  • Do you have an outstanding written and verbal communication skills with experience in writing white papers, interacting with customers, partners and representing AMD technology to the cloud vendors?

Preferred Experience:

  • Deep Knowledge of C/C++ programming.
  • Knowledge of modern GPU hardware architectures
  • Knowledge of Computer Graphics and real-time rendering
  • Experience with DirectX 12 and/or Vulkan graphics APIs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with partners
  • Previous experience with Unity or Unreal Engine development highly desired

Academic Credentials:

  • BS degree, MS desired
