EMEA SENIOR CHANNEL SALES MANAGER (72158)

 

The senior channel sales manager is a critical addition to the AMD embedded sales team. The person will develop deep customer relationships with key regional end accounts and explore any potential business and technical partnerships across both end customers and distribution partners. It includes engaging with business decision makers and build trusting customer relationships to win designs and business. Responsibilities further includes configuring design win activities, business management, revenue ownership and be on-point to solve complex, highly ambiguous problems independently. While this is a pan-European role. the Industrial Market in Germany is a key target market for AMD and we believe you are based in Germany and/or speaks German fluently on top of excellent English language skills. This role reports to the EMEA Embedded sales director.

Primary Purpose: 

  • Manage all sales and marketing processes to engage distribution partners in the EMEA region to grow AMDs embedded APU/CPU/GPU market share.
  • Map channel APU/CPU/GPU sales to regional retailers/etailers/System Integrators. Localize and engage major and fast-growing regional end accounts. 
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to grow AMDs market share in regional retailers, etailers and SIs.
  • Create and execute quarterly business plans including business targets for each partner.
  • Manage the sales cycles with key ODMs and distribution partners including monthly/quarterly business reviews and action planning.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building strong AMD product presence with key distributors and with major regional end customers.
  • Responsible for delivering overall business and AMD embedded product strategy in regional ODM channels.
  • Proactive communication of AMD product plans, positioning, value proposition and pricing to key regional accounts.
  • Interact, strategize, and work very closely with the Global channel team
  • Collaborate with Field Application engineers, PR and marketing teams as well as Business Unit teams to provide feedback from regional customers/partners and plan joint actions.
  • Work very closely with other AMD sales managers, both in the region and globally, to accurately forecast and plan in-quarter revenue execution and long-term planning.
  • Responsible for internal forecasting, pricing, marketing funds and business reviews.
  • Understands competitor's product strategy and positioning to ensure success of AMDs products in all market segments.
     

Experience/Skills:

  • Must be very well connected in the embedded Board ODM, Distribution Channel and End customer fields from a similar sales-related position, minimum 5 years.
  • Experience and knowledge of the inner workings of key accounts to work with the influencers, blockers, and decision-makers.
  • Highly Intelligent & Creative: Must have high intellectual bandwidth applicable to an extremely complex and dynamic market. Must be able to think creatively to develop new ideas and solutions that are “out of the box”. Must have an innate curiosity to always question assumptions to try to do things better or smarter.
  • Effective, Persuasive Communicator: Ability to present a compelling business case to internal and external constituencies. Able to win support from and effectively communicate to different constituents (sales, marketing).
  • Relentless Drive for Results-Oriented Success: Must have strong drive to win and achieve incredible results and strive to exceed expectations and goals by a high margin. Hold high standards for quality of work and detail. Very strong focus on achieving business results instead of just completing tasks and responsibilities.

  • Language requirements: Fluency in German, working proficiency in English.
