Tax Manager


AMD is seeking a full-time Tax Manager to join the tax team in our Munich office in Germany. This position will be passionate about the tax provision of European entities, ensuring tax compliance process with exposure to international taxation as well as supporting Transfer Pricing processes together with our global Tax team.

The person:

We are searching for an individual that is passionate about tax compliance and is experienced in the international Tax structure of Global companies. This is an exciting time to join AMD! Are you the person we are looking for?

Key responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all affiliated companies with regards to international tax and transfer pricing issues
  • Responsibility for the structuring of cross-border intra-group business relationships
  • Supervising of tax compliance requirements
  • Interface function between the Tax and Transfer Pricing departments
  • Support and coordination of tax audit in Germany and abroad. Provide outstanding client service to the tax and finance departments and businesses by being timely and responsive
  • Participate in special tax projects as needed

Preferred experience:

  • A focus on taxation or comparable training
  • Several years of experience in an internationally operating law firm or a group tax department
  • Very good knowledge of VAT, CIT, national and international tax law, and ideally good knowledge in the area of transfer pricing.
  • Proficient negotiation skills in English and at least one other main European language is mandatory
  • High level of analytical skills and ability to work in a team
  • Structured, goal-oriented way of working

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or economics or related degree
  • Masters in Tax from an accredited university preferred
  • CPA is strongly preferred, can be inactive
