Field Marketing Specialist


The AMD Thailand field marketing specialist oversees and drive all Thailand marketing, executing campaign plans and work with country sales rep for Go-To-Marketing roll out. The marketing specialist will have to work with multiple stakeholders such as channel partners and also AMD APAC marketing leads and in-country Sales Reps. The marketing specialist will be responsible to lead/plan APAC consumer, commercial client, server, and cloud related campaigns and ensures proper and timely execution and delivery of results



A field marketing specialist should have a passion for marketing, ability to strike a chord with people, and understand the customers' needs. He/she should be updated with the latest trends happening in the relevant industry and should have a great business acumen. He/she should be target oriented and should be able to develop innovative strategies that will help in achieving the organization's goals and objectives.



  • Strong Product Understanding: Lead and monitor marketing programs across a variety of business segments between Consumer, Commercial Client, Server, and Cloud Solutions.
  • Strong Market Understanding: Initiate and drive Thailand market research, and analyzing country market trends to help define the in-country marketing strategy, and providing advice as to how to best reach the target market.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other internal/external teams (e.g. regional marketing, in-country sales, distributors, channel partners and marketing agencies) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives
  • Agency Management: Drive in-country marketing execution by working closely with APAC regional team & in-Country Sales needs, work with Creative vendors in creating various promotional material, arranging creative briefs, assist in writing and editing of creative content, and making the relevant presentations to local sales, partners, customer and local marketing agencies
  • Strong Marketing Skillsets: Recommend marketing channels, target audience and tactics based on changing market demands.
    • Own and plan in-country marketing expenses within the quarterly budget. To work with team members to plan the end-to-end in-country marketing strategy, tactics, workflow process to increase the efficiency of marketing spend, understand the preferences of the customers, to conduct analysis of products and to closely monitor the competitor's strategies.
    • Build strong network across the business community to generate profitable opportunities. 
  • Strong Focus on Marketing & Biz ROI
    • Auditing the results of field marketing efforts to identify strengths and weaknesses and adjust methods accordingly
    • Execute marketing campaigns effectively to achieve the campaign objectives & drive post campaign reports and ROIs share back after the implementation of the marketing and advertising strategies.
  • Brand Savviness: To communicate and implement AMD brand awareness in the market by participating in meetings, conferences, trade shows, etc., and work in coordination with other departments.



  • Minimally 4 – 6 years of experience in B2B marketing and project management
  • Preferably work in IT/Tech industries with experience on PCs/devices, Server (HPE, Dell EMC, Lenovo, VMWare, Nutanix) or Cloud (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Able to demonstrate strong mastery of various marketing activation & tactics such as digital, SEM, social, retargeting, influencer management and also ecommerce
  • Has prior experience working with marketing tools (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Google Analytics, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and content management systems
  • Event Handling Experience – Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to plan, execute and follow up with post event executions
  • Confident user of the Microsoft Office suite with a high level of proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
  • Take a proactive and positive approach in seeking ways to improve all aspects of marketing activities.
  • Ability to travel as necessary



Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
