Graphics ASIC Infrastructure/Methodology Engineer

We are seeking a full-time engineer to join our graphics infrastructure/methodology team that architects, deploys, and supports environments that enable cutting edge graphics ASIC design and verification.  If you have a passion for innovation and a drive to develop best-in-class tools and processes, you belong in our team here at AMD.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Work in a wide range of programming languages and frameworks supporting design models, RTL development, hardware emulation, and firmware.
  • Innovate, architect, and deploy tools/flows that optimize design and verification of graphics ASICs.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and improve inefficiencies in existing frameworks and workflows.
  • Drive industry standard approaches to design and verification, capitalizing on novel techniques to evolve methodologies.


Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 7 years of industry experience in related field (5 years with equivalent master’s degree).
  • Strong background in hardware design or verification with deep knowledge of SystemVerilog, UVM, and ASIC-design CAD tools.
  • Experience in developing innovative solutions for automating workflows.
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux programming and scripting (Python, Perl, make, shell, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of software programming practices.  Experience with C/C++ development would be a plus.
  • Experience with formal verification techniques and approaches would be an asset.
  • Must have strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to quickly root-cause issues.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work with a widely distributed team of engineers.
