Graphics IP Architect (#74998)

 

THE ROLE:

  • Create the Architecture and C Model for Graphics IP Hardware front-end, including defining the hardware/software interface
  • Propose and investigating new features, performance improvements, and power reduction proposals
  • Collaborate with Architecture Modeling Team to test performance as well as with software teams to create the hardware/software architecture
  • Determine the product’s viability for production or further need to refine the proposals

  • Is a creative analytical visionary thinker with problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail and willing to advocate for their proposals
  • Possesses excellent comprehension, communication, and interpersonal skills

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Graphics IP architecture investigations for product feature proposals
  • Identify and describe, in a specification document and the C-model, the behavior of proposed new features with a focus on interfacing with the firmware and software driver team to achieve ann optimized solution
  • Support verification of the software model (both unit/block level testing and graphics IP level testing)
  • Supporting the use of the software model in our RTL verification flow, including debugging of the software model and the RTL code where there are mismatches between the results generated from the two models

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient in Verilog, System Verilog, C and C++, and working in Linux and Windows environments
  • Excellent programming skills
  • Software unit testing frameworks
  • OGL, OCL, or DirectX APIs
  • Debug environments and profiling tools, such as Eclipse and Valgrind
  • Working knowledge of RISC architecture and GPU graphics pipeline

 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

This position can be located in Orlando, FL or Markham, Ontario, Canada
