SW Scheduling Algorithms Engineer
THE ROLE:
RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) IP team is instrumental to AMD’s success. We create and specify innovative hardware and software solutions and deliver world class GPUs. As a RISC-V scheduling algorithm engineer, you will be working on exciting projects with the very best and most passionate GPU team in the world.
THE PERSON:
A self-motivated software engineer. An effective team player who focuses on collaboration, team building, mentoring, and furthering team success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with a team of architects, designers, and firmware engineers for developing scheduling algorithms for AMD GPUs.

Develop firmware for different algorithms to optimize the graphics and ML workload on GPU shader units.

Collaborate with hardware architects to develop the approach and design flows.

Manage your individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
-
Experience with C++ programming and git-based development workflows.
-
Knowledge of GPU pipeline.
-
Knowledge of different types on workload in GPU.
-
Knowledge of RV64 ISA and ISA Extensions M, A, B, F, V
-
CPU Principles of Branch Predictors and register renaming, out of order execution, speculative execution.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to details
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
-
Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science with relevant experience preferred

Master or PhD degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science
