ASIC IP Verification Engineer Internship

 

THE ROLE:

Join an industry leading Graphics IP team which specializes in verification of the Shader Input/Output Subsystem.  You will own critical tasks which directly impact the quality of design.  This will include regression management, test debug, test bench development/enhancement, constrained random verification, and coverage driven closure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

     Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and verification engineers to understand the Shader I/O Subsystem, and the blocks and features that will be verified

     Estimate the time required to complete the creation of the verification environment and tests

     Create the UVM based subsystem testbench and tests to match real-world use case scenarios

     Debug test failures to determine the root cause; work with RTL engineers to resolve design defects and correct any test issues

     Review functional and code coverage metrics; modify or add tests or constrain random tests to meet the coverage requirements

     Identify and implement opportunities for improving AMD’s ASIC verification methodology

 

MUST-HAVE PROFICIENT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

     IP level ASIC verification

     Creating and using UVM testbenches and working in Unix/Linux OS environments

     Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++

     Debugging RTL code using simulation tools

     Graphics pipeline knowledge

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

     BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 5 years applicable experience

     or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and ASIC Design/DV project related experience
