The Position:

 

The Senior Director of Sales, Commercial EMEA is looking for a Senior Manager of Commercial Sales to manage the Southern and Eastern Regions of the EMEA sales team. The Senior Manager  will drive sales and grow market share of the AMD server / data center and commercial client products in the region.  They will manage and grow the sales team of currently 6 people responsible for Southern and Eastern Europe (including Iberia, France, Italy, LB, MEA, CIS and Russia).  He/she will be responsible for establishing the AMD sales strategy, partnerships and market approach to drive customer relationships and revenue.  This position can be based in France, Belgium, Italy, UK, Germany or the Netherlands.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Define and implement sales-out strategies and quality account plans that grow revenue base and market share

• Assess, mentor and grow sales team to drive revenue growth and market share

• Identify customer challenges and insert a compelling AMD value proposition to address challenges

• Establish significant “pull” with key customers

• Develop cross-division partnerships to establish synergistic solutions for large customers

• Actively mine for future opportunities, assess risks, dissect and learn from key wins/loss

 

 

Candidate Profile:

 

• Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success in a comparable roles, building and leading a winning regional team

• End-User Sales Experience: Preferred experience in selling to corporate enterprise accounts, service providers, and public sector / government / education entities

• Partner Experience: Strong historical interaction and relationships with MNCs and Mega Data Centers in the region

• Organizational Experience: Demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross-matrix structure

• Product Experience: Expert sales knowledge of the following: Commercial Client PCs, Data Centers, Servers, Storage, Graphics, and Silicon

• Strategic Experience: Understanding of the products and the market, including software ecosystems for clients and servers

• An intense drive to “win,” combined with sound business perspective

• High level of confidence, maturity and integrity

• Open communication style and presence to work effectively at a leadership level

• Honest and trustworthy in dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues and stakeholders

• Ability to listen to the customer and articulate the customer’s needs internally

• Broad leadership skills with ability to motivate, mentor and retain top talent

• Demonstrated ability for longer‐range strategic vision and planning

• Fluent business English with advanced/fluent French

 

Education:

BSEE or relevant technical degree; MSEE or MBA is preferred/desirable.
