SR. TAX ANALYST

 

THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a full-time Senior Tax Analyst to join the tax team in our Global Services Support Team. This position will be passionate about the foreign indirect tax process with some exposure to international taxes.

 

THE PERSON:

We are searching for an individual that is passionate about indirect tax and wants to continue to learn, develop and progress in corporate income taxes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly/yearly indirect tax filling across multiple jurisdictions such as U.S., Canada, EMEA and Southeast Asia
  • Perform tax account reconciliations
  • Assist in handling tax audits, tax investigations from the tax authorities
  • Liaison with external advisors about income tax returns and compliance requirements
  • Lead/Participate in projects or assignments as directed, an opportunity to work on regional or global tax initiatives/projects
  • Developing and implementing process improvements
  • Involve in KPI and metrics tracking and measurement
  • Prepare analysis, reports & presentation decks to be provided to Management and business partners for strategic decision making
  • Manage and prioritize ad hoc and urgent tasks
  • Stay current with changes in foreign tax law  

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 - 8 years of tax or accounting experience. Asia, U.S., and International tax experience is an added advantage
  • Experience in preparing the return to provision work papers and analysis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with strong organization and documentation skills are required
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule as required to collaborate closely with colleagues in different time zones
  • Strong computer technical skills – MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills, motivation, and confidence to independently address issues
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that can work with people of diverse environment globally
  • SAP/ other ERP system knowledge is an added advantage.
  • While the position will potentially accommodate a wide range of specific backgrounds, the successful candidate must demonstrate:
    • A passion for tax accounting and tax principles.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a changing and diverse environment and manage multiple projects with short deadlines; and
    • Ability and experience to effectively gather, assess, analyze tax information.

 

ACADEMICE CREDENTIALS:

Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or any equivalent accounting professional qualification
