THE ROLE: 

Excited about exploring leading technology CPU silicon validation? Do you enjoy problem-solving unique implementation and challenges? Then we have the right role for you! 

The CPU Co-op/Intern is responsible for all aspects of post-silicon validation on next generation server processors, including test content development, volume validation and silicon debug. 


THE PERSON: 

We are seeking an analytical thinker with problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate: enjoys ambitious work in a multi-project team environment using state-of-the-art tools and technology, is a self-starter who is able to work independently to complete tasks on schedule and demonstrates creativity with "out-of-the-box" solutions and high initiative to solve unassigned but project impacting issues. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work with Architects and reads documentation to understand features to be validated 

  • Develop content to execute on silicon platforms 

  • Perform debug of compilation failures and execution test runs on silicon platforms 

  • Additional responsibilities may include implementing script/tool for Triage Automation 


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Advanced proficiency in a high-level programming language like C/C++/Java 

  • Proficient with scripting tools like Perl or Python 

  • Advanced proficiency with UNIX environment, compiling with GCC and debugging programs with debugger 

  • Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments 

  • Knowledge of debug Verilog/System Verilog RTL 

  • Proficiency in Computer Architecture 

  • General tools experience with MS Office Suite and Visio 


ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • BS or MS (preferred) in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related
