Sr. Director, Product & Platform Security



As a Director Product & Platform Security you will be responsible for ensuring the AMD Security Platform solutions meet the security needs across AMD’s portfolio of products, including Ryzen and Radeon. You must be passionate about cyber security and drive continuous innovation and features to evolve AMD’s Security Platform. Specifically, you will be responsible for the complete technology lifecycle activities including business development, platform portfolio definition, platform “go to market”, customer adoption, along with standards & ecosystem management.



Our ideal candidate will possess advanced technology market & product management expertise with a track record of success within the industry.  You have demonstrated credibility as an expert in your field, with both internal and external stakeholders and customers. In addition, you have hands-on experience around product/platform development and have participated in all elements of the development process.



  • Build vision, strategy, and roadmap for AMD Security Platform features with an end goal of creating a scalable, adopted and monetized solutions which meets strategic objectives
  • Drive solutions to address security vulnerabilities through the platform stack
  • Collaborate with engineering execution teams to ensure product requirements, goals and objectives are met and exceeded
  • Own the Security customer experience for features with a strong focus on customer platform adoption



  • 15+ years of Advanced ASIC technologies business development and product management experience
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in chipset and platform security market, and associated technologies
  • 15+ years of advanced graphic technologies business development and product management experience
  • Understanding of security technology IP industry standards (ESF, NISTO, RACGP, TCG, other)
  • Significant development and management of and 3rd party partner ecosystem programs
  • Ability to convert highly technical value propositions into a compelling business case
  • Strong communication skills to address multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Kernel and driver level design and implementation experience with one or more of OSes and Hypervisors: Windows/Hyper-V, Linux/KVM, Xen, other kernels and/or ukernels
  • Understanding of assembly level instruction sets (AMD64 or ARM preferred - MIPS, other)
  • Application level coding skills with higher level languages (C, C++, perl, etc. for testing and supporting applications)
  • Familiarity with typical software/hardware interfaces and driver techniques
  • Knowledge of existing hardware architecture(s) (prefer x86 and/or ARM) including associated security and/or virtualization extensions
  • Comfortable with working on large projects with existing code bases
  • Eagerness and ability to quickly learn new concepts
  • Ability to lead and work both in a closely collaborative team environment, as well as independently


Beneficial Experience:

  • Knowledge of security principles and properties including confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, authorization, and auditing
  • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms
  • Development experience with ukernels and/or RTOSes
  • Experience developing software solutions on FPGA systems
  • Knowledge and/or design experience with Windows drivers and DLLs
  • Previous technical leadership and/or mentoring role(s)




  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (MS preferred)
