RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with all stakeholders such as lead architects and block design teams to understand AMD next generation GFXIP features to be implemented and verified.

  • build up IP DV environment for the AMD next generation GFXIP verification

  • Robust testplan for both synthetic testing and real workload trace for functionality/performance/power

  • monitor regression status, track project exectuion, debug verification test failures, worrking with the design team to correct defects

  • make sure AMD next generation GFXIP can meet performance/power/function expectation

  • bring state-of-the-art verification technique and methodology to AMD RTG GCP team

  • mentory junior engineers. As technical leader, drive end2end GFXIP verification through simulation, emulation to post-silicon diag.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MS degree preferred).

  • Must have 8 years of experienced in ASIC verification.

  • Must be proficient in Verilog and System Verilog language

  • Must be good at C/C++ programming, and working in Linux and Windows environments

  • Must have ASIC design knowledge and be able to debug Verilog RTL code using simulation/emulation tools

  • Must have ASIC design verification experience in test plan, test creation and triage, coverage and assertion etc.

  • Be proficient of script language like Perl, Python

  • Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills with an excellent attention to detail

  • Must have good English hearing, speaking, reading and writing capabilities

  • Must have good teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • experience on hardware accelleration|(Zebu, Voloce, Palladium) is a big plus

  • Graphics pipeline experience is preferred

  • Deep knowledge of computer architecture is preferred

EDUCATION:

  • BS + 10 years or MS + 8 years or PhD + 5 years Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Architecture work experience
