Job Description:

The Role:

We have an immediate opening for an aggregate planner.  This exciting role has responsibility for determining wafer starts, the most critical and expensive of AMD purchases on a weekly basis in order to balance customer needs, product changes, yields, inventory, and excess & obsolete material.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving production and delivery performance of global supplier such as TSMC, Samsung, and UMC.  This requires direct interfacing with the suppliers on a weekly basis
  • Analysis of forecasts and yields to determine optimal wafer starts
  • Test and implementation of new models and systems used in wafer planning
  • Cross-functional work with the engineering, marketing and operations groups

 

Preferred Experience:

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with strong ability and drive to grow.  Ideally, you have:

  • BS + 2 years experience/MS in the field of Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or Computer Science
  • Strong desire to have large business impact and drive big dollar decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse set of groups
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis, forecasting, inventory and production management theories and application in practical situations.
  • Strong systems and quantitative modeling background. Programming skills in PL/SQL is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP/APS system.
  • Experience with Kinaxis
