TREASURY SENIOR ANALYST

 

THE ROLE:

As a Treasury Senior Analyst, you will build on your current skills to further develop expertise in Liquidity Planning and Cash Investments in a fast paced Semiconductor industry.  Furthermore, this role will give you great exposure to the CFO / Treasurer and other AMD executives while being involved in various strategic initiatives.

 

THE PERSON:

Ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a keen analytical mindset, be detail oriented, strong drive for results and possesses strong problem-solving skills. The candidate must also have a deep understanding of financial concepts and US GAAP accounting principles. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage short term and long term cash flow forecasting at the corporate as well as at the business segment level
  • Maintain a diversified investment portfolio for Adaptive and Embedded Compute Group (AECG) in compliance with AMD’s investments policy and provide regular updates to treasury leadership on portfolio performance
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager for Cash investments on overall companywide Cash investments strategy and execute trades accordingly
  • Work with investment brokers to assess overall market conditions and regulatory changes and provide recommendations on investment strategy to Treasury Leadership
  • Ongoing Benchmarking against other technology companies on best practices for Investment Management both from securities selections standpoint as well as processes
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial and operational plans to support AMD’s current and future liquidity needs
  • Collaborate effectively with key company stakeholders (leadership team, regional finance teams, accounting, tax, legal, accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll, credit)

Compliance & Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with internal and SOX control in all areas of responsibility
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate efficiencies into Treasury operations
  • Conduct reviews and prepare footnotes for Treasury related SEC filings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • MBA, or CFA preferred
  • 3+ years of  relevant industry experience with an MBA or 7+ years of overall experience with a BA in finance / economics
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and US GAAP accounting including understanding of cash investments accounting
  • Proficiency in Financial Modeling in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience with Clearwater Analytics and Bloomberg tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with executive presentation experience using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and internal/external customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects and tasks at one time and meeting competing deadlines
  • Ability to drive for results in a dynamic fast paced business environment with a desire to continuously improve existing processes
  • Ability to communicate priorities, deliverables, issues and results to management in timely manner
  • Experienced in working in a global team environment with different time zones
  • Broad knowledge and interest in financial markets, high grade fixed income securities and risk management practice
