<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">THE ROLE:

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">In this position, you will perform pre-Silicon Functional Verification of next generation high performance Microprocessor designs. It involves research, design, develop, and/or test of electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory.

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Develop and execute on verification test plans at different levels of design hierarchy including unit and full-chip environments
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Develop high level language testbench components including stimulus drivers, BFMs, behavioral models, monitors and checkers
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Develop, simulate and debug directed and random stimulus and assembly level tests to find bugs in the microprocessor design and verify the functionality and verify conformance to the ISA

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Additional responsibilities may include:

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Develop and analyze assertions and coverage terms. Participate in technical reviews of the specifications, design and test plans. Identify and address areas of concern to meet design quality objectives.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Work with RTL writers to resolve all simulation failures and discrepancies
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Develop tools, infrastructure, processes and flows to enable functional verification
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Document test plans and testbench component plans and drive reviews with peers and partners.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">When presented with Silicon issues, replicate in the pre-silicon environment, and provide debug expertise to root cause the issue and ensure complete validation
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Contribute towards and drive as needed pre-silicon and/or post-silicon verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Drive project goals and dependencies with cross-site Architects, RTL writers, and Physical Design engineers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Independently develop quality, timely and cost-effective solutions

 

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">We are looking for CPU level design verification experience with a background in Computer Architecture and excellent coding skills. Other skills include: 

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Processor pipeline and memory hierarchy.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Hands-on work in C++ programming for either hardware modeling or testbench development or projects of similar scope and complexity.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Experience with industry standard verification testbench and IP methodology such as UVM or similar.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Assembly language programming and Instruction Set Architecture of a current microprocessor.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Hardware Verification methodology and techniques such as simulation, debug, coverage, formal, etc.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Scripting languages (e.g. Perl or Python or Ruby).
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Hardware/logic simulators (e.g. VCS or NC-Verilog).
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Debug tools or waveform viewers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">System Verilog language.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Object oriented programming (e.g. C++ or System Verilog)
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">RTL emulation platform simulation model.

 

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">MSEE, MSCE or related degree a plus
