Business Development Manager-Consumer/Commercial- 73311


The Position:
The Business Development Executive (BDE) for Northern California region of the US will own end-user relationships to drive sales of the entire AMD portfolio.  The BDE will work in tight collaboration with AMD OEM sales teams as well as the external OEM sales teams across the region.  He/she will be responsible for executing the AMD sales-out strategy, partnerships and market approach to drive large enterprise, corporate, and SMB sales of AMD platforms across PC client, server, workstation/graphics, and thin client.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Implement go-to-market and sales-out strategies that grow revenue base and market share
• Be the face of AMD to all key customers in the soutther California region of the US
• Identify customer challenges and insert a compelling AMD value proposition to address challenges
• Establish significant “pull” with key customers so they are advocating AMD products back into OEMS
• Develop cross-division partnerships to establish synergistic solutions for large customers

The Person:
The BDE North California region will ideally have the following attributes:
• Demonstrated success in a comparable roles, developing strong customer relationships which have led to sales success
• An established background in technology sales with at least 7 years’ progressive experience
• Strong historical interaction and relationships with key customers and OEMs (i.e. Dell, HP, HPE, Lenovo)
• Demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross-matrix organization

• Thrives in an autonomous environment

Preferred Characteristics:
• An intense drive to “win,” combined with sound business perspective
• High level of confidence, maturity and integrity
• Open communication style and presence to work effectively at the CTO/CIO level
• Honest and trustworthy in dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues and stakeholders
• Ability to listen to the customer and articulate the customer’s needs internally
