Executive and Employee Communications Manager

THE ROLE:

AMD seeks communications manager with proven experience in planning and executing internal and external communications for a fast-paced, growing organization.

This person will drive executive communications for the Chief Financial Officer at AMD. Additionally, this person will drive employee communications programs to increase employee engagement throughout the organization.

The candidate will be a contributor to the communications team, providing both strategic direction and near-term execution for key employee communications as well as select external communications.

Candidates must have shown success and capabilities in developing and executing strategic employee and external communications plans. Candidate must also have experience working with leadership teams, with specific knowledge and experience in the high-performance computing markets being particularly valuable. The ability to collaborate with senior executives, other communicators, business function leads, and employees to align communications programs across the company is essential.

The person:

  • Ability to think and communicate clearly. The ideal candidate will routinely research, write, and build concise communications deliverables to effectively communicate AMD’s brand, voice, style guide, and content strategy.
  • Excellent writing skills, attention to details, and ability to navigate ambiguous issues to build concise messaging and plans
  • Track record of working closely with senior executives as a strategic communications counselor on communications strategies and activities
  • The ability to work successfully under deadline and run multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated background crafting content and messaging for diverse internal/external audiences across a variety of formats; solid understanding of PowerPoint preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate, develop strong working relationships, and demonstrate horizontal leadership capabilities within a matrixed organization environment
  • Dedication to analytics and using measurement to guide effective, data-driven communications practices

Key responsibilities:

This person will drive executive communications for the Chief Financial Officer at AMD. Additionally, this person will drive key employee communications programs to increase employee engagement throughout the organization.

The position entails developing and running positive relationships with C-level and business/regional leaders to provide high-quality communications programs that achieve strategic internal culture and engagement objectives.

Preferred experience:

  • Significant corporate communications, internal communications, or public relations experience

Academic credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
