Senior Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs





We are searching for a Senior Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs to represent AMD and our interests in regulatory and corporate responsibility matters associated with environmental initiatives relevant to our products, supply chain and customers.  The role will interact heavily with customers, partners, government officials, plus AMD business teams and engineers. The role will include management of regulatory matters, advocacy, strategy development, relationship management, and contribution to thought leadership.



Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills, as well as experience working on product life cycle environmental initiatives such as energy efficiency, restricted chemicals, and circular economy affecting product design and manufacturing. They will also need to be a skilled relationship builder and negotiator. Collaboration and the ability to influence is critical to success in this role. This individual should possess a high level of integrity, be motivated, self-driven and able to effectively manage complex situations.  



  • Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory affairs relevant to product environmental design initiatives and the identification of best practices
  • In collaboration with internal technical experts and engineers, analyze global environmental regulations and initiatives (e.g. energy efficiency, chemical restrictions, GHG emissions, circular economy, end of life requirements, public sector procurement); assess impact on AMD product design, processes, supply chain, and customers; and advocate AMD’s interests
  • Organize and lead global cross-functional teams involving representatives in legal, engineering, communications, corporate responsibility, and sales/marketing to design and implement solutions
  • Engage and represent AMD’s interests with customers, partners, government officials and industry trade associations
  • Identify roadblocks and inefficiencies in existing tools and ecosystems, plan and implement processes/ tools to remove them
  • Create and present documentation, messaging and briefings to internal and external audiences



  • 8 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably on a worldwide basis
  • 8 years of experience working across corporate functions and with external stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of environmental design initiatives applicable to electronic products, with knowledge of modern computer and server platform designs
  • Outstanding written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Flexibility in working hours with ability to travel 10% of time
  • Self-motivated and highly results driven



Bachelor of Science or Arts, or higher, in Environmental Science, Political Science or Engineering
