FPGA Platform Lead - 83028

 

THE ROLE:

An FPGA Platform Lead’s responsibility includes identifying FPGA opportunities for critical debug and validation solutions.

 

THE PERSON:

In this role, you will get to collaborate with multi-functional teams (BIOS, Board, System Architects, etc.) to build innovative FPGA platforms with High-Speed IO. An opportunity to architect, and bring up FPGA platforms for components in the AMD SOC.

  • FPGA Design background with at least one of High-Speed IO Protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, DDR, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Verilog and/or System Verilog
  • 5+ years of RTL Design experience for FPGA or ASIC
  • Experience with FPGA Synthesis, Timing Closure
  • Experience with FPGA Bring up and Debug in Simulation and HW Bring up
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience working with embedded firmware and or device driver development
  • Experience with source control systems (Perforce, Git, etc.)

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional groups to capture technical requirements and resolve technical challenges for FPGA solutions
  • Responsible for leading the architecture and implementation for High-Speed IO Platforms
  • Captures technical requirements during product definition and ensures implementation in platforms and documentation.
  • Leads FPGA team and provides technical expertise to less experienced engineers in implementation, debug and validation of server system hardware.
  • Writes and reviews detailed technical documentation.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience developing C or C++ and debugging with trace files and debuggers
  • Knowledge of x86 and/or ARM of SoC Architecture
  • Experience with lab equipment (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Developing System Verilog Test Content
  • Experience with one or more of the following protocols: SPI, I2C, AXI, QSPI, USB, etc.
  • Knowledge of using and debugging in a UVM environment

 

LOCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant subject areas
