We are looking for a Machine Learning Software Engineer:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate flexibility, strong motivation and a proven record of meeting aggressive deadlines as well as the ability to work as part of a team
  • Must have proven abilities to solve critical system/software issues, and will be working to engineer AMD’s open source GPU compute SW stack (ROCm)
  • As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for code reviews, creating unit tests, authoring detailed documentation related to your work, and working with on-site and off-shore teams to deliver the software solutions on schedule.
  • As a senior member in the team, you will be required to play a key role in all phases of the software development including system requirements analysis, coordinating feature design and development across functional and organization boundaries.

 

 

The candidate will have:

•             A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related subjects, or equivalent experience.

•             Strong programming skills, especially in C/C++

•             Solid understanding/experience with Linux internals, Servers, System-level Debugging and Test Automation Tools

•             In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle, SW practices including debug, test, revision control, documentation, and bug tracking

•             Proven interpersonal skill, technical leadership and teamwork required

•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•             Ability to work independently and within diverse teams

•             Excellent customer support skills

 

An ideal candidate will have:

•             At least 10 years of relevant industry experience

•             Solid knowledge/experience with Programming (e.g., Python, assembly programming)

•             Familiarity with Machine-Learning (Frameworks, Datasets) and Virtualization (Hypervisors, VMs, Containers)

•             Knowledge of Parallel-Computing, GPUs, and High-Performance-Computing, is a plus

•             Familiarity with deep neural network machine learning technologies and modern machine learning programming frameworks

•             Experience working with and developing virtualization containers and package managers for code deployment

•             Ability to work well in geographically dispersed teams
