Radeon Power and Performance Senior Engineer/Architect

 

Summary:

  •  Drive pre/post silicon GPU efforts at GPU/SOC level to improve perf/watt for next generation of Radeon processors

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify/Analyze performance/power bottlenecks and work with arch/uArch team to resolve them
  • Create, plan, and execute perf/power plans
  • Analyze and report failure and sightings and drive them to closure with collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Develop validation strategies, pioneer hardware/software validation improvements

 

Requirements:

 

  • Prior hands-on GPU/CPU hardware experience; GPU is a plus
  • Fairly knowledgeable in [functional, performance, and/or power] analysis methodologies.
  • Pre-silicon and/or post silicon debug experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of verilog, C, C++ and a scripting language; experience with Perl and python is a plus
  • Strong understanding of SOC architecture
  • M.S./BS with 2+ years of applicable experience
  • Prior knowledge of OpenGL/OpenCL/DirectX is a plus
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to details.
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion
  • Prior knowledge of PTPX or Power Artist is a plus
