Modeling Infrastructue Support Engineer

AMD is seeking elite Software 
Engineers to support the infrastructure of a C++ Modeling environment for the world's leading GPUs. This position offers the opportunity to have a real impact in a dynamic, technology-focused company architecting product lines ranging from consumer graphics to high performance compute engines. You will provide DevOps support to this crucial development environment and provide tool support for its broad user community. You will be empowered to work across multiple tools and platforms to provide and expand the capabilities of this environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Evolve and keep the GPU C++ model Continuous Integration system using state-of-the-art of industry techniques
  • Propose and develop GPU model Infrastructure tracking metrics to identify and resolve operational issues 
  • Deploy new compute farm technologies for efficient utilization that optimize time to architecture closure 
  • Improve the speed, flexibility and extensibility of the GPU C++ model build flow 
  • Improve the performance, speed, efficiency and capacity of the GPU C++ model runtime
  • Remove inefficiencies wherever they exist

  

Qualification

 

  • Experience  designing and working with modern Continuous Integration and deployment solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux/Windows OS system
  • Programming fluency in Python and C++. OO design required.
  • Experience with CMake and GNU Make based build systems in large, distributed computing environments.
  • Pre-submit verification flow experience, for example using Jenkins
  • Experience with C++ Testing Environments and methodologies (including code coverage)
  • Display a tenacity to root cause and fix Infrastructure problems, especially intermittent, hard to isolate issues in a complex computing environment.

 

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related and 5+ years of relevant work experience
