The DEAE (Datacenter Ecosystems and Application Engineering) team helps extend this lead by enabling these cutting edge features in a wide partner ecosystem.


The DEAE team is looking for a self-driven NSX-T Architect and Telco expert to join our team to enhance solutions and elevate customer experience with AMD EPYC Server Processors. As an NSX-T Architect and Telco solutions expert, you will be responsible for enhancing the performance of AMD based solutions, create/test/document architectural designs that can deliver scalable, secure, reusable, extensible performant and maintainable NSX-T and Telco solutions. These solutions will be developed internally, in collaboration with customer facing and partner teams, with goals of enhancing customer experience and best utilization of features in AMD's EPYC Server Processors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with AMD and VMware architects, Field Engineers, Partners and Customers to enhance performance and user experience of NSX-T on AMD EPYC

  • Build and publish AMD EPYC based NSX-T and VMware Telco Cloud Platform (TCP) solutions

  • Enhance code and benchmark performance to create collateral for our customers

  • Provide technical mentorship to engineers

  • Understand and present technical status updates to top management, peers, and engineering teams

  • Give innovative technical insight to development strategies, priorities, and approaches


 A successful candidate will employ established Software Defined Networking concepts, system software and solution design expertise, technical leadership, horizontal management, and well-honed organization skills across multiple teams and companies to ensure on-time delivery of product goals and robust solutions. Candidates must possess the technical proficiency, seasoned presentation skills, and interpersonal confidence to clearly represent design ideas, complex problem descriptions and innovative solutions with experienced internal and external audiences


Preferred Experience

  • Deep understanding of Networking fundamentals, Software Defined Networking practices, network virtualization

  • Strong analytical skills and debug methodology expected

  • Strong organization and communication skills with a proven track record of end-to-end project delivery

  • Experience in Container based solutions such as Docker/Kubernetes/Tanzu is preferred

  • Experience in VMware product stack is preferred


Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or other relevant field; Master's Degree preferred
