Senior Solutions Manager - 74501

 

This is a unique opportunity to join newly formed Solutions team. The Solution Manager is responsible for the Edge Solution journey leveraging AMD products in multiple verticals: Retail, financial, healthcare, cloud providers, and telecom among others. The Solution Manager bridges the gap between our customers, partners and solution architects. The solutions exploit architectures and design alternatives of enterprise applications on the cloud, including scalability, availability, performance and security aspects. The focus will be on public, private and hybrid clouds.

 

As a Solution Manager with a core focus on Machine Learning (ML) and Cloud, you'll help customers and partners understand the power and value of using AMD ML capabilities applied to private and public clouds by coordinating technical assistance regarding architecture designs and building and publishing advanced edge solutions. As a solution manager, you will communicate with our customers and partners to leverage AMD technologies at scale both operationally and analytically. You will coordinate dissipating the solutions to sales and business groups, directing the marketing strategy and empowering the solution architects to deliver new scalable solutions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • As Solution Manager, you will work in close partnership with end-users, partners and other AMD architects and technology leaders within the company to manage premier solutions. The Solution Manager will:
  • Help customers and partners understand the power and value of using AMD technologies applied to private and public clouds by providing creating marketing materials, creating training sessions, and building and publishing advanced edge solutions.
  • Create customer and sales events to highlight our solutions and technologies involved in handling, managing and analyzing data at scale on public and private clouds. Solutions incorporate numerous AMD platform ingredients in the Data Center compute, network, security, storage, and manageability and orchestration software areas.
  • Develop customer experience strategy to further our footprint in this vertical/market. Ability to improve the process and customer experience to increase our solution reach.
  • Present product and solution roadmaps, features and benefits to OEMs, integrators and end users. This will lead to developing a trusted and mutually beneficial partnership with key OEM and ISV partners.
  • Help capturing additional clients in our markets and expand our solution portfolio to newer verticals and newer markets. In addition, provide market feedback to AMD’s business and technical units.
  • Gather requirements, observations, trends from the marketplace and communicate these effectively back to the solution architects and associated teams to influence their plans and positions. This will result in new build proposals for solutions
  • Communicates with technology providers to ascertain strategic and product feature directions, to determine the strategic direction of the solutions.
  • The successful candidate for the Solution Manager position can be described as:

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree preferred
