Pre-Silicon Verification Engineer - 73906

AMD’s Cores Organization delivers industry leading CPU’s and caches that are the foundation of AMD’s server, client, and gaming business.  If you are an experienced pre-silicon verification engineer, we invite you to join our innovative team. You will be involved in design efforts responsible for high speed logic/circuit design and physical implementation of a next generation Zen CPU core for future iterations of Epyc™ servers and Ryzen™ desktop/notebook computers. You will also have the opportunity to learn and help drive improvements in all aspects of the CPU physical design flow from RTL design to tape-out in the most advanced TSMC 7nm process node.


-            Pre-si logic verification of microprocessors

-            Development of script based gate level verification infrastructure

-            Debug gate level failures and run gate-level regressions for functional health and debug failures

-            Work with physical design and verification teams to validate the netlists


What skills and qualifications do you need?:

-            Exceptional scripting skills (Perl)

-            Expertise in digital logic/circuit design with Verilog

-            System Verilog, System Verilog Assertions (SVA)

-            Simulation debug with RTL and Netlist

-            Understand traditional low-power design techniques

-            Demonstrate good communication skills, and abilities to work with a diverse team


·         Masters in CS/EE + 5 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred skills

-            Universal Power Format (UPF), Clock Domain Crossing (CDC)

-            Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)

-            Transistor level design

-            Design for Test (DFT)

-            VCS/Verdi
