Sr. Program Manager


The Silicon Development Group at AMD is seeking a Program Manager with an IP Design background. You will work directly with Directors and Managers to ensure high-quality, on-time IP delivery. The IP is used in all AMD SoC’s and will be used to provide I/O and connectivity with AMD products.


What will I do?

  • Create plans for IP development
  • Establish deliverable requirements and milestones
  • Track development progress
  • Set schedules
  • Establish metrics
  • Implement change control processes
  • Coordinate with SOC
  • Coordinate executive meetings
  • Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned


What knowledge and skills do I need?

  • Familiar with I/O standards
  • IP design background
  • Knowledge of tools of the trade
    • Power Point, Excel ‘Pivot Tables, Lava Charts’
  • Significant SoC microarchitecture IP Design experience?
  • SerDes
    • A Serializer/Deserializer is a pair of functional blocks commonly used in high speed communications to compensate for limited input/output. These blocks convert data between serial data and parallel interfaces in each direction.
  • Microarchitecture
    • Knowledge or background in Serdes microarchitecture
  • Verilog / RTL
    • Knowledge or background in Serdes Verilog/RTL coding
  • Degree or educational background
    • Bachelor or Masters in Electrical Engineering, PMP Certification is a plus
  • Demonstrates leadership and judgment
    Good organizational and communication skills
  • Passion to win
  • Good negotiating skills
