RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Working collaboratively with the AMD Program Management community to track Key Metrics and help continuous process improvement
  • Supporting Engineering management to drive execution excellence, including key metrics like Time-to-Market, R&D Efficiency, and Silicon Quality Indicators
  • Supporting Engineering management in planning of project Human and Computing resource needs
  • Participating in the development of project plans and schedules; must be able to develop and improve processes for project tracking and risk mitigation
  • Working hand-in-hand with engineering counterparts across the global sites to plan/align budget, head count, operational efficiencies
  • Managing horizontally across several functional organizations, including Finance and Human Resources
  • Assist in developing and implementing Project Management Best practices, tools and templates within engineering.
  • Manage cross team dependencies, and coordinate cross-team initiatives and blocker issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups across AMD Radeon Technology Group through the Product life cycle, from definition to successful delivery of releases.
  • Work closely with engineering managers, technical leads and product managers to drive project planning and execution of multiple complex software development projects.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Experience in Containerization frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes etc) is a plus
  • Experience in Virtualization frameworks (Linux KVM,  etc) is a plus
  • Experience in Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Caffe, pyTorch etc) is a plus
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Project 2016, Jenkins & Robot Frameworks
  • Experience program managing linux based products is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) such as Program Increments, Lean, Kanban, Shared Understanding
  • Team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced multi-tasking environment
  • Experience in managing complex, interrelated projects, programs, and functions
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good presentation and leadership skills; with ability to lead technical discussions
  • PMP certification is a plus, but not required
  • 7+ years Project Management experience in industry

 

EDUCATION:

  • BSEE (or equivalent), MSEE (or equivalent) preferred
