AMD's Client Strategic Alliances team is looking for a Strategic Platform Alliances Manager to help drive the success of AMD-first solutions with leading OEMs. You will work with internal technology enablement teams and external SW/HW partners to enable ecosystem components for best-in-class AMD platforms.



As a Strategic Platform Alliances Manager, you are responsible for driving long term strategic engagements with ecosystem partners, identifying competitive gaps and leadership opportunities, creating technology innovations between partners and AMD engineering to drive positive business outcomes, and day-to-day management and communication with internal and external stakeholders. This includes developing strategies for the components within your domain, close cooperation with business and engineering teams at AMD, enlisting the appropriate resources for partner engagement and building close strategic relationships with partners for future AMD platforms. As the owner of those strategic technology areas, you will be responsible for readouts to the executive team to communicate strategy, gaps, and key partner plans.



  • Analyze the ecosystem and competitive environment within your domain area, identify strategic partnership opportunities at all levels of the technology value chain (silicon, platform, software)
  • Coordinate with AMD technology teams to understand domain strategy and enablement plans
  • Engage with ecosystem partners within your domain to articulate AMD technology value propositions and align on enablement from partners. Create detailed plans with partners to drive a shared roadmap for future development.
  • Communicate strategy, program status, resourcing needs, decisions, actions, risk areas and mitigation plan effectively as the AMD champion for your partners.
  • This includes organizing and presenting technical and program reviews/status to AMD and partner executives, gathering forecast and design win information to build out business plans, and assessing long-term system and IP-level planning opportunities for roadmap collaboration
  • Manage partner content creation, promotion, and co-marketing opportunities with AMD marketing, including communicating the value of AMD's worldwide audience and marketing channels for the partners' brand awareness and acceptance
  • Being able to identify and collaboratively drive clear areas of alignment and opportunities across all organizations is critical to this role.



  • Proven technical knowledge of software, silicon, GPU technologies, PC architecture, OEM/ODM design-in criteria, and enablement and evaluation of hardware and software stacks. Significant experience with notebook display technologies is preferred.
  • Specific experience with the display technology ecosystem for embedded notebook panels including display technology, TCON, panel designs, OEM preferences etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under tight deadlines, responding to changing business and technical conditions while interfacing with customers, partners, and AMD cross-functional teams
  • Proven business acumen, including the ability to think strategically and make well-informed technical versus business trade-off recommendation
  • Must be well-organized, technically oriented, and a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and coordinate geographically distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong application engineering or program management background coupled with a working knowledge of product management and marketing within a solutions company such as AMD.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% Excellent communication skills are a must.



Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, MBA preferred
