HR Business Partner - Engineering 

The Role: 

We are searching for a Human Resource Business Partner to support one of our key engineering business units. The Person: 

The successful candidate will mentor, advise, and facilitate AMD senior executives on successful human capital strategies, provide business insights through org and talent analytics, and drive proactive interpersonal development and change initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 

Business, Financial and Industry Acuity 

  • Knows how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace  

Interpersonal, Communication and Advising Skills 

  • Guide, mentor and execute with the business to identify, develop, and drive key human capital initiatives such as leadership development, interpersonal planning, global recruiting, and rewards and recognition. 

  • Partner and team with colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, improve, align, and drive the efficiency of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives. 

  • Strategically drive pay-for-performance including salary planning, promotions, resource planning, and talent calibration. 

  • Act as an advisor to business leaders on issues relating to policy interpretation and employee relations 

  • Facilitating strategic off-sites to drive the people strategies that enable positive business impact  

Organizational Diagnostics, Analytics, and Problem Solving 

  • Lead and facilitate interpersonal design and development 

  • Analyze and communicate insights using the HR Dashboard and the key talent metrics to provide guidance to the business. 

  • Be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of engagement survey results, identifying trends, and collaborating with leaders to identify and implement action planning. 

  • Gathers and explores information, finds patterns and solves problems  

Organizational Change 

  • Assists people and the organization in moving to new ways of thinking and/or operating 

  • Drives communication and organizational change plans that ensure appropriate pre-wiring and alignment with key partners and are thoughtfully executed to mitigate risk and drive positive employee engagement  

Preferred Experience: 

  • Proven track record to analyze and use HR metrics to collaborate with our business units and influence action. 

  • Diversified knowledge and application of processes and programs such as organization development, change management, workforce, and interpersonal planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation, training, and recruitment. 

  • Exposure to executive coaching frameworks, tools, and approaches. 

  • Confirmed operational and project leadership skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a sophisticated, global, matrixed organization and engaging partners and leading expectations as required. 

  • Ability to work optimal in a team, handle conflict, and build trust. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. 

  • Proven capacity to work independently, take proactive action, and deliver results. 

  • Experience with global corporate organizations in Technical/Engineering companies a plus. 

Academic Credentials: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred
