THE ROLE:

Khronos 3D team is part of RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) GPU driver engineering team, working on AMD OpenGL/Vulkan driver development for GPU/APU products for Linux/Android operating system and Cloud Gaming business. You will develop 3D GPU driver for next-gen of GPU/APU hardware and support next-gen of operating systems, including fixing and debugging problems.

THE PERSON:

We are looking for person who has strong passion in software engineering and GPU technologies. You are expected to be a self-motivated team player and have good communication skill. Inside AMD, you will cooperate with stakeholders from different component teams to develop and deliver software driver for AMD GPU/APU products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop and debug AMD GPU 3D graphics drivers (OpenGL/Vulkan drivers)
• OpenGL/Vulkan driver integration in CloudGaming platforms like Virtualization or Container platforms.
• Work on supporting next generation Linux operation systems
• Work on bring up and supporting AMD next generation APU/GPU
• Maintain current driver and improve performance
• Design new rendering technologies, like Vulkan, Ray Tracing…
• Support key OEM customers (DELL, HP, Lenovo, etc.) and ISVs (Google, Microsoft, Tencent, etc.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Deep Knowledge of C/C++ programming and debugging skills
• Deep Knowledge of data structure and state-of-art algorithms
• Knowledge of PC architecture/operating system and be familiar with X86 assembly language
• Knowledge of Computer Graphics is a plus
• Experience of Vulkan, OpenGL or Microsoft DirectX programming is a plus

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent.
