SMU Domain Validation Engineer

 

THE TEAM:

We are a cutting-edge hardware and firmware focused team engaged on leading Graphic Processing Units and Gaming and Computing Processors. The team is passionate in power and performance management on SOC with duties ranging from hardware and firmware design emulation, design validation, issue debugging, and silicon enablement to production.

 

The successful candidate will work with hardware and firmware IP designers and SMU domain features owners to execute hardware and firmware features’ validation, stress testing, regression testing and SMU issue triaging.  own hardware and power and performance firmware features’ validation plans, stress test plans, and regression test plan and SMU domain issue triage.

 

The successful candidate will also participate in pre-silicon feature emulation test plan development and testing, prototype testing on exciting innovation ideas and designs towards next generation of gaming and computing technologies.

Qualities desired for a successful candidate include mutually supportive team working, critical and deep thinking, relentless determination, leadership and test/debugging data managing skills, as well as execution and communicative skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute power and performance features’ production validation plan, stress test plan, and regression test plan
  • Debug, troubleshoot system-level issues
  • Participate in prototyping feature test plans and stress plan and emulation plans
  • Support test automation infrastructure and develop test scripts
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement in related areas

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic understanding of digital and/or analog electronics and CMOS devices
  • Work experience with computer system hardware, software, and/or firmware for embedded systems
  • Experienced with scripting for test automation, firmware version control and management
  • Laboratory experience, including familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Knowledge of PCB and schematics design would an asset
  • Strong data management and analytical skills and pronounced attention to details
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently work on tasks to completion

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related diploma in these fields
