APAC Commercial OEM Marketing Manager

 

The Role:

We are looking for an innovative, self-directed individual with shown ability to lead, plan and implement joint AMD and OEM marketing activities that produce impactful, business driven results campaigns. They will work closely with AMD HQ OEM teams, regional marketing and local teams, starting with plan alignment all the way through to campaign reporting. In addition to OEM marketing, this role also inclusive of building the alliances' relationship such as Microsoft to drive the alignment and co-marketing initiatives for commercial marketing engagement.

 

APAC region countries include: Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand.

 

The Person:

  • Experience in developing and activating joint partners (OEMs, Microsoft) marketing programs
  • Project management experience working directly with cross-functional teams and multiple partners with the ability to juggle responsibilities and customer expectations
  • Customer centric and able to follow-up/ through and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Demonstrate drive, problem solving skills, ambition and be self-motivated
  • Exceptional time management skills, interpersonal skills & a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently, plan, prioritize multiple projects/ priorities effectively
  • Willingness and passion to travel a minimum of 30% to customer meetings and partner activity
  • Strong command of English and other Asian languages would be a bonus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skill, budget management and analytical mind
  • Comfortable with ambiguous situations. Flexibility to change course based on new information or shifting business needs
  • Experience working in a Fortune 500 global matrix organization is a plus point
  • Interest in technology, hardware, PC gaming, content creation, future technology/ innovation is another plus point
  • A people person - Lively, team-player, energetic, with an optimistic, can-do attitude

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the overall regional OEM marketing contact with a deep focus on OEM branded marketing campaigns and plan aligning to AMD’s marketing priorities and business focus
  • Build, maintain and influence relationships with priority OEM accounts, alliances (e.g. Microsoft) as well as new OEM accounts
  • Coordinating and nurturing of involvement of AMD in OEMs’ crucial industry and company events/ launches and vice versa with OEMs and AMD
  • Working with AMD HQ OEM team, regional and local AMD teams to implement and manage alliance funding and activity execution in region and in country – ensure brand, and marketing guidelines are adhered to, provide training and program consultation, including creative review
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional internal AMD teams – including social, PR, finance and marketing operations
  • Work with Commercial Client marketing lead to coordinate regional and centrally driven marketing programs in coordination with the OEMs and alliances
  • Develop schedules, track progress, and provide quality assurance and control of projects
  • Produce debriefs on campaigns and weekly/ quarterly marketing programs, including delivering regular reports.
  • Take a proactive and positive approach in seeking ways to improve all aspects of AMD joint marketing activities with OEM & Microsoft and work seamlessly across multiple internal and external partners

 

Preferred Experience:

Expertise in Commercial Client PC OEM marketing and

  • Have at least 6-8 years’ experience in a country or regional B2B marketing role with broad marketing experience in the IT industry, OEM and semiconductor experience will be a plus
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of PC industry and specific use cases with strong proven track record
  • Initiate strategic conversation and partnerships with OEMs (e.g. HP, Lenovo, ASUS.) and alliances like Microsoft with APAC regional team to uplift AMD brand and demand in the joint collaboration
  • Able to work with agency/ OEMs & Microsoft/ other partners to plan, implement, optimize and track digital marketing execution with metric and return on investments
  • Have good understanding in OEMs’ marketing planning and execution from digital marketing, customer demand generation, channel marketing with result tracking and ROI delivery
