Diagnostics Engineer (I/O Diagnostics)


The Diagnostic Engineering team is responsible for function, system, and stress diagnostics software development targeting next generation CPU, APU and dGPU products. We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced engineer to deliver diagnostics software which verify the industry leading high-performance interconnection IOs eg. PCIe, XGMI, USR.



  • Study and understand the IC design specification
  • Develop the diagnostics test plans with the IC design team
  • Develop and debug diagnostics software for bring up and validate ASIC features on both pre-silicon (emulation) environments and post-silicon hardware
  • Deliver functional and stress diagnostics software to enable next generation of design features
  • Identify, debug and resolve hardware, software and platform issues and to drive with different teams if required
  • Support manufacturing and customer issues
  • Forward thinker to improve development processes, code quality and hardware coverage



  • Embedded software development experience in Linux environment with C/C++ is a requirement
  • Strong in firmware development and debug skills
  • Hands-on experience with PCIe (or a similar HSIO) products and ASIC bring up is a plus
  • Good understanding of the x86 processor architecture and industry leading high-speed IO(PCIe) is desired
  • Good communication skills.



  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent with relevant 3-5 years of working experience
