Test Development Engineer Intern/ Co-Op
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is for a Server Firmware Test Development Engineer. The Test Engineering role responsibilities include developing test cases for Server Firmware feature development for BIOS QA. The Test Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with Server firmware and BIOS developers to understand the program feature requirements. Great communication skills are essential to coordination with architects, BIOS developers, vendors, and quality assurance teams to develop robust, innovative server firmware test cases for customer reference boards.
A successful candidate will employ solid software testing methodologies, debug capabilities, test case reviews and strong process practices to ensure on-schedule deliveries.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of software development process methodology
- Experience in x86 server BIOS architecture desired
- Understanding of UEFI BIOS and secure boot protocol
- Knowledge of server hardware interfaces (10G/1G Ethernet, CXL, SATA, NVMe, DDR5 industry standards, PCIe Gen5/Gen2, SPI, I2C/I3C) or industry standard initiatives such as (ACPI, SMBIOS, BMC/ SMBus and IPMI) understanding is desired
- Clear communication and great writing skills for developing new test cases are essential.
EDUCATION:
- Pursuing Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
