Firmware Engineer 2

• Bachelor’s degree with ~6 years or Master with ~4 years of commercial software development experience required.

Must-Have skills:

• Strong USB protocol (USB3.0 or USB3.1 or USB4) knowledge
• Expertise in C++ programming
• Post silicon diagnostics development & validation
• Experience with USB Explorer/Analyzer

Good to Have Skills:

• Firmware or device driver experience.
• Experience doing pre-silicon tests on Palladium, FPGA, or other pre-silicon environment preferred.
• Hands on experience with Windows and Linux OS internals, device manager
• Understanding of PC hardware, SoC, Chipsets, Graphics cards, BIOS & VBIOS.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills required.
• Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle required.
• Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development/Testing/Debugging of USB test cases for USB4/3.x
• Running USB2/3/4 tests on silicon/emulator/FPGA and analyzing the results through error logs & USB analyzers
• Debugging the test fails and reporting them.
