Responsibilities:

 

Will provide block models in support of Design Verification for graphics architecture, specifically in support of SIMD Processor block team. Work involves activities and capabilities such as:

  • C++ model code development
  • Familiarity with Bus Functional Modeling (BFM)
  • Familiarity with Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) modeling
  • Development of tests, testbenches and test libraries for C++ model testing
  • Development and maintenance of Float reference models
  • Use of revision control tools (Perforce)
  • Collaboration with architects to understand block design
  • Collaboration with DV team to integrate model into test flow
  • Perform debug to isolate model issues and help with DV triage
  • Work with design team to correct defects
  • Create model description and other documents

 

Education and Experience:

  • Must have a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and ASIC work experience:
    • BS plus 2 years' experience
    • MS or Phd (plus intern experience strongly preferred)
  • 2 years in ASIC Design Modeling

 

Skills:

  • Must be proficient in C/C++, Perl, Unix shell scripting
  • Helpful background includes: Verilog, TLM, SystemC, SystemVerilog, IEEE STD 754, Design Verification, Formal methods, Performance modeling, Perforce
  • Good English understanding, speaking, reading and writing
  • Strong problem solving skills, good coding skill and style, good debug skills
