Advanced Technologies Group – Applied Machine Learning System Architecture Engineering Intern
THE ROLE:
Advanced Technologies Group (ATG) is a technology group running at the innovation forefront of AMD with missions in developing new camera/computer vision/machine learning technologies and solutions to transform how our we will live and work on AMD next generation platforms.
THE PERSON:
ATG is looking for motivated and top minds to join our System Architect Teams to help define, prototype, and drive our long-term technologies vision that will have significant impact for AMD’s future products in the 3-5 years horizon.
You will be actively contributing to the development in areas of applied machine learning, camera, computer vision, and advanced technologies for different platforms running different operating systems including Windows, Linux, Android, Chrome, and other OS.
We are looking for a candidate who takes a proactive approach, is outgoing, takes initiative, and loves problem solving. The successful candidate will be passionate about applying academic knowledge to solve real world problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In this role you will participate in developing end-to-end machine learning-based solutions for camera and computer vision applications running on AMD Edge platforms
- Work closely with HW and SW teams and get your hands on a broad range of activities from solution design, software development, to optimization and deployment for Edge platforms
- Measure, analyze, and optimize power and performance for both application and system software/hardware stack
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning concepts
- Background in one of the following fields: computer vision, computer architecture, algorithm design
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Background in working with TensorRT, PyTorch, TensorFlow or other ML frameworks
- Experience in working with ML stack for Edge/Mobile devices
- Experience in GPGPU compute using CUDA or OpenCL
- Experience in software performance benchmarking, profiling, and optimizations
- Experience in developing computer vision algorithms using OpenCV and/or Deep Learning approaches
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Students pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
