About the Department
PE (Product Engineering) is responsible for post-design planning and new product qualification. Once silicon arrives, our team drives customer samples execution and high-volume manufacturing readiness. Typical areas of activity are in testing, quality, reliability, yield analysis, and production support. PEO works horizontally across several functional organizations, and is key to driving production manufacturing within time, budget, and cost constraints. PEO is a fast paced multi-tasking environment. Specialized disciplines within our team include Yield/Test Analysis, Product Definition, and System Level Test (SLT).
Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to contribute significantly to Product Engineering deliverables as part of the overall product development flow. Contributions may span several areas, with specific emphasis on statistical analysis, semiconductor performance analysis, quality assurance, and data interpretation. As a member of the team, you will have deliverables to support both our near-term deliverables as well as long-term improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist Product Development Engineers in bring-up, characterization and production test program development.
2. Focus efforts in one of three team disciplines based on interest, skills, and team needs – Yield/Test Analysis; Product Definition; or System Level Test (SLT).
3. Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage, and quality meet corporate target goal to start production ramp.
4. Participate on cross-functional teams to improve capabilities and/or resolve production related issues.
5. Build analysis, optimization, or reporting tools to improve our team’s efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
6. Write and maintain technical documents to summarize results and progress.
