Mass Production Planner

 

THE ROLE:

This position is responsible for ensuring supply to support GPU mass production revenue associated with board assemblies, include align demand and supply, drive for material readiness, engineering information delivery, schedule build and shipment. This role will work collaboratively with multiple business functions in a team environment. 

 

THE PERSON:

Good communication skill, working with CM account team and material team, to negotiate build schedule, liability, responsibilities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helps set strategic direction of inventory and supply planning: improve supply planning for factory optimization, inventory level, flexibility. Assist eng to set capital investment and tool development is nice to have.
  • Integrated financial analysis: look at supply chain risk management and the impacts of disruptions on the supply chain; analysis and recommendations for sourcing decisions and global flexibility with impact on inventory buffer levels and locations
  • Integrating forecast accuracy work with Business Management Team into the supply planning processes
  • Management and adherence to Finished Goods Buffering/mfg strategy, understand ABC classcode and its management is a plus.
  • Life cycle management of products (from SKU Approval to EOL)
  • Disposition of inactive inventory and returns.
  • Surplus inventory analysis and driving demand shaping with business units in order to consume.
  • Scraps/Reserves (projected reserves, close work with finance)
  • Collaboration with Finance on costing, ASP, margin, etc

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years’ experience in electronic industrial, include 2+ years’ experience of planning function.
  • Experience in EMS (electrical manufacturing service) industry is preferred
  • Have the ability/experience to manage multiple SMT assemblies with part counts in the neighborhood of 300 comp's
  • Have experiencing in netting logic surrounding gross inventory and net inventory (CM inventory/hub inventory)
  • EC management experience in dealing with SMT assemblies (remove/add)
  • Have the ability to interact with account teams in multiple time zones and speak fluent English
  • Has the understanding and experience of managing procurement in shortages and sourcing strategies
  • Have experience in inventory analysis of dealing with obsolete/surplus/inactive inventory
  • Has experience in dealing with RMA/re-work material
  • 8+ years’ experience in electronic industrial, include 2+ years’ experience of planning function.
  • Experience in EMS (electrical manufacturing service) industry is preferred

 

 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree of engineering, supply chain, administration. 
  • Materials management background.
  • Experience with MRP systems such as SAP is a plus. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PC based software suites including MS Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. 
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.
