Commercial Sales Account Manager

THE ROLE:

The Business Development Executive (BDE) will own end-user relationships to drive sales of the entire AMD portfolio.  The BDE will work in tight collaboration with the End Customers, VARs, SIs and distribution to help drive OEM sales in Japan.  The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the AMD sales strategy -  including partnerships and market approach to drive large enterprise, corporate, and SMB sales of AMD platforms across PC client, workstation/graphics, and thin client.

The BDE should demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Open communication style and presence to work effectively at multiple levels, from salespeople to senior management
  • Honest and trustworthy in dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Ability to listen to the customer and articulate the customer’s needs internally

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver on AMDs revenue, unit and market share goals
  • Development & communication of strategies and plays to nominated MNC Account sales team
  • Leverage appropriate internal/external organizations to resolve account issues
  • Develop deep customer relationships, drive customer meetings + agendas to most effectively grow AMD business
  • Manage a detailed forecast & multiple quarter pipeline (SFDC)
  • Implement go-to-market and sales-out strategies that grow revenue base and market share
  • Be the face of AMD to nominated accounts
  • Build/Execute, in partnership with AMD Marketing, GTM strategy across multiple distributors and partners
  • Identify customer challenges and insert a compelling AMD value proposition to address challenges
  • Ideally have existing relationships with key SIs, VAR & resellers. Previous experience selling into Enterprise and Government highly desirable. 
  • Strong historical interaction and relationship with Partner Sales team of key OEM’s (For example HPi, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, NEC, Fujitsu)
  • Build confidence and awareness around AMD offerings within the sales teams at nominated OEMs and resellers

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

The BDE will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Demonstrated success in a comparable role, developing strong customer relationships which have led to sales success
  • An established background in technology sales with progressive experience
  • Ideally also have previous experience working with OEMs such as HPI, Lenovo, Dell, NEC & Fujitsu
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross-matrix organization
  • Thrives in an autonomous environment

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Undergraduate degree as a minimum
