The Role
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will own end-user relationships to drive sales of the entire AMD portfolio.  The BDE will work in tight collaboration with the Japan Distribution Channel to help drive OEM sales teams across the region.  He/she will be responsible for executing the AMD sales-out strategy, partnerships and market approach to drive large enterprise, corporate, and SMB sales of AMD platforms across PC client, server, cloud, workstation/graphics, and thin client through Tier 1 distributors and resellers.


The Person

The BDE should demonstrate the following characteristics:
• An intense drive to “win,” combined with sound business perspective
• High level of confidence, maturity and integrity
• Open communication style and presence to work effectively at multiple levels, from sales people to senior management

• Honest and trustworthy in dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues and stakeholders
• Ability to listen to the customer and articulate the customer’s needs internally

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement go-to-market and sales-out strategies that grow revenue base and market share
• Be the face of AMD to all key customers in the assigned regions

• Build/Execute CEP GTM strategy across multiple distributors and partners
• Identify customer challenges and insert a compelling AMD value proposition to address challenges
• Strong historical interaction and relationships with distributors and resellers  (i.e. DIS, Otsuka Corp, Softbank C&S, Synnex, Canon Marketing, Ricoh Japan and other resellers)

• Strong historical interaction and relationship with Partner Sales team of OEM’s (HPi, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Fujitsu, NEC)

• Build confidence and awareness around AMD offerings within the sales teams at key distribution partners

• Develop cross-division partnerships with key resellers in order to generate sales and purchasing demand

• Business relationship with ecosystem partners such as Microsoft and others.

Preferred Experience:
The BDE will ideally have the following attributes:
• Demonstrated success in a comparable roles, developing strong customer relationships which have led to sales success
• An established background in technology sales with at least 7 years’ progressive experience
• Ideally also have previous experience working with OEMs such as HPI, Lenovo, Dell, NEC, Fujitsu

• Demonstrated effectiveness working in a cross-matrix organization

• Thrives in an autonomous environment

Academic Credentials
• Undergraduate degree as a minimum, MS/MA preferred
