 Japan and Korea Sr. Specialist Commercial Marketing

 

THE ROLE:

The Japan and Korea Sr. Specialist Commercial Marketing will be a member of the APJ commercial marketing team, reporting to the Head of APJ Marketing Lead.

This role will be primarily responsible for designing and executing in country marketing demand generation activities around key focus Server workloads like Cloud Computing and Big Data as well as commercial client.

The incumbent will have to manage associated budget expenses and provide data analysis on marketing activity performance as well.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and managing the execution of the go-to-market (GTM) plan for AMD’s Commercial Client and Server category in the APJ region primarily Japan and Korea and drive highly focused ROI driven demand gen initiatives around Cloud and Big Data
  • Development and execution of strategic channel marketing programs at distribution and resellers to help increase market share and sell through of EPYC-based platforms also RYZEN Pro-based client OEM platforms.
  • Coordination and nurturing of involvement in OEM, ODM, and SI partners in key industry and company events
  • Working with GTM / BU to deliver channel marketing initiatives and templates for execution of programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, and directly with partners, to deliver marketing content to reseller and distribution partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with priority account individuals including product, marketing, OEM and sales teams
  • Coordinate regional and centrally driven marketing programs in coordination with the Sales and Corporate Marketing teams
  • Manage forecasting and execution of sales and marketing programs including AMD EARN EPYC and AMD VIR programs
  • Work collectively and strategically with APJ Regional OEM Marketing teammate to execute OEM-dedicated programs with key partners and distribution partners
  • Collaboration with other organizations across AMD at both a corporate and regional level on product announcements and GTM plans.
  • Develop schedules, track progress and provide quality assurance and control of projects
  • Produce debriefs on campaigns and quarterly incentive channel programs including delivering regular reports and ROI calculation
  • Take a proactive and positive approach in seeking ways to improve all aspects of our marketing activities and work seamlessly across multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a customer facing marketing role, preferably on cloud related workloads and in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level.
  • Profound understanding of the APJ primarily Japan & Korea commercial Server & client landscape
  • Experience in developing and activating Reseller and/or Distribution Representative marketing programs
  • Project management experience working directly with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders with the ability to juggle deadlines and customer expectations
  • Demonstrated success in marketing planning, field marketing, event management, customer testimonial and project/ campaign management
  • Excellent organization and project management skills with an ability to prioritize on their own, and delegate tasks when appropriate
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment and manage multiple programs at one time
  • A high performer with a positive attitude who is team-oriented, energetic, and optimistic
  • Willingness and passion to travel a minimum of 30% to customer meetings and partner activity
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English is a plus

 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
