Developer Technology Engineer

 

THE ROLE:

The Game Engineering team works closely with external games software developers and publishers to create some of the best games on the planet. We help them to fully exploit the technical capabilities of AMD hardware products. Our aim is to raise the standards for gaming graphics and performance, and we do everything in our power to make sure the user has better experience.

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is fluent in English and has intermediate or better Japanese capabilities. An outgoing personality that can engage with developers is always an asset, as are time management skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision from a home environment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the external game development partners to enable them to produce their applications as efficiently as possible.
  • Optimize game and application performance for discrete GPUs, APUs and CPUs.
  • Design and implement rendering effects using established APIs in ongoing R&D projects.
  • Integrate features into game titles.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10+ years of experience developing games (with multiple shipped titles).
  • Experience with DirectX 12 or Vulkan graphics APIs.
  • UE4 experience a plus.
  • The ability to work alone with minimal supervision given task descriptions.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor of Applied Sciences (or greater) degree preferred
